reminds me of REM's "end of the world as we know it". i mean that in a good way. just in case you hate REM or something. [grin]
quibbles: the CRA-C-K and BOOM! the italics and bold seem out of place. like it better without the obvious accenting of the sounds. actually, not emphasising them might lend the words a bit more power.
